I'm confused about the pick we lost

    Did we lose next years first round pick in the minnasota trade?

    The MEM pick is, IIRC,

    top 14 protected for the next 3 years, and some dumb thing happens if Hou(now Minn) doesn't get it after 3 years, like a 2nd round pick and cash or something like that.

    Coulda been a 15-20 pick which is nice, and Memphis could fall between that range, ie get knocked out early in playoffs.

    It's a 2nd round pick if Memphis doesn't make the playoffs over the next two seasons (it's two right).

    yes. our 2012 pick that was traded to the Nets is lottery protected.

    yes, we still have out own pick, and expect the Rockets to buy 1-3 2nd rounders tonight too.

    If we don't make the playoffs, we keep our lottery pick. If the Knicks pick isn't in the top 5, we also get their pick.
