    Maybe Chris wants to go to the Lakers but Morey doesn't want to make that move because 1. they don't have assets to send us and 2. he would pretty much guarantee the Lakers a Conference Finals berth at the very least.

    If Iko was making this up, why would he name players in his report while everyone else is simply giving unnamed "sources"?

    The Warriors lost:
    * Due to significant injuries
    * In the finals
    * For the first time in a few years

    The Rockets lost:
    * In spite of injuries to the other team
    * To the same team they always lose to
    * Again

    Slight difference in frustration levels

    They have the best asset to send us. They can send us a gigantic trade exception plus they would have to throw in Kuzma and Wagner (AD would have to waive his trade kicker too).

    I would be absolutely ecstatic with that return. Hell, Kuzma might be a better player than Paul as soon as next season. It also severely handicaps the Lakers in terms of acquiring enough depth before Lebron/Paul decline terminally. All 3 of those guys require load management, it would be a logistical nightmare for them. What are the chances all 3 of Lebron, Paul and Davis are healthy deep into the playoffs? I'd say very low.

    We would be something like $20m under the cap with the ability to trade Capela into cap space to create a max cap slot or acquire someone with a $30m TPE.

    Lebron is no Harden. Those days are long gone. We still have the best player between the 2 teams. We'd have a roster where no one is overpaid and we can add several good pieces or 1-2 great ones. We took the Warriors to 6 games with a broken down Chris Paul and little to no depth.

    Plus we get out from under that curse of a contract, which can't be understated.

    You find the people who corroborate what you want to say. That's how these articles work. They don't go out with a question. They go out with a prepared premise.

    He also named unnamed sources.

    Also he doesn't have to make everything up. They would typically tell him they need something to quell the fire, and he would create a piece for that. It's not like he's a liar, if you want a career in his field, that's the game. I'm just saying as a source he'd be as a high risk to contain a disproportionate amount of bias when compared to others.

    I don't know if they are going to surrender Kuzma. Don't get me wrong--would love to get Kuz. But if they didn't add him for AD, I doubt they are going to ship him to Houston for Chris Paul's salary dump. Maybe we send them back 2 1sts in exchange for the huge TPE and Kuzma?

    They have no choice, the trade is not possible without Kuz.

    I don't think Kuz was this big holdout in the trade. IMO he's a highly overrated player and the Pelicans were brilliant to extract 2 extra first round draft assets rather than take on Kuzma. Lakers valued him more, and they probably insisted on keeping him for the specific purpose of acquiring someone else.

    I'm fine with it either way. A team that has Kuzma and Lebron on the floor at the same time is begging to get abused in the PnR. We did it to Curry against an elite defensive team in the Warriors, we would do even better against those 2.

    Sooooo.... The Warriors have run through the West to the NBA Finals for 5 consecutive years. It's obvious that the only reason the Rockets didn't win is because of Harden. Harden is holding Eric Gordon, CP3, & etc back with his Iso ball. They could've easily beaten the Warriors but Harden wouldn't let them. So What's everyone else's in the West excuse?

    How did the Rockets front office react to Skip Baylee’s ManBoob segment?

    If you listen to this podcast (around the 31-36 minute mark) ESPN Tim McMahon talks about the Yahoo! Goodwill "unsalvageable" story and says "I was told those same things by people who don't have the Rockets' best interests in mind and I continued investigating/reporting and it did not check out..."

    Skip Bayless quoted a 'source' about the CP3/JEHj spat that was beyond bogus. Thus, the reference back to 'As usual, people are going to believe what they want to believe, regardless if it’s factual or not.'

    That was all.
