They arent, click the square for the 20 or 80 dollar one, then click the add to cart under the tablet box. It takes you to cart where it has both the cover you wanted and the tablet thing for 5.99. just remove the tablet one from cart and its fine. I just did it like 5 min ago.

 

But it says out of stock and only gives the tablet option.. the 80/20 are the covers re print aren’t they? Not actual magazine

 

Good thing I went to Books-A-Million and bought the issue the day it came out. Going to pick up the new winning one and frame them. I'll try to get Springer to autograph them as well.

FYI:
Sports Illustrated is reprinting its 2014 issue that predicted that the Houston Astros would win the 2017 World Series.

The cover, initially printed on June 30, 2014, has the headline "Your 2017 World Champs" with a picture of George Springer.

The Astros beat the Dodgers in this year's World Series and Springer was named MVP.

The magazine started selling the reprints on its website for $19.95 each.

The move is virtually unprecedented.

The magazine has gone back and reprinted additional copies when there was great demand, like when Brett Favre was named Sportsperson of the Year in 2009, but only once before has the magazine reprinted an issue like this.

In 2001, SI reprinted its first issue from August 1954.

The reprint issue being sold has all the articles and original ads and won't make reference to it being a reprint, which might bother collectors.

In recent days, original copies of the issue have been heavily coveted on eBay, with more than 10 copies selling for at least $500 apiece.

 

This world series title is starting to cost me a lot of money LOL.

 

That really does suck for the "collectors"... and then makes collecting anything, whether its a magazine or a newspaper, slightly less rare as in this day/age of digital media, anything can be re-printed electronically, in its exact format, at any time.

I'm still one of the lone idiots who actually subscribes to magazines (both hard copy and digital edition)... so the only thing I have going for my copy is that it has the subscriber label printed on there, indicating the exact date it was delivered.

In the end, unless you're making a living on the selling and re-selling of sports memorabilia, the sentimental value is all that matters.

Love it! Sucks for those who are paying $300-$500 online for an original copy.....but love they are reprinting it.

Both were are the magazine stores at Bush airport today so they are officially now out. I ended up getting both copies.
