Assuming we get Dwight, who becomes the leader of team / face of francise? Harden or Dwight?

    Harden
    - Was here before Dwight
    - Beard is symbolic
    - Star
    - Finals appearance as a 6th man

    Dwight
    - Older than Harden
    - Superstar
    - #1 Defense on our team
    - Has experience leading the Magic into playoffs by himself
    - Finals appearance as the leader

I'm leaning more towards Dwight. Harden is a former 6th man who is rated as a top 5-10 by clutchfans, and rated outside the top 10 with other teams. Dwight is within top 10 with any team..he is a true superstar who plays stellar defense. As long as Harden plays zero defense, he cannot keep our team accountable on defense since that would be hypocritical. Dwight is the defensive anchor for our team so it makes sense he can keep others accountable on defense. He's also a big guy so it's easier for other players to listen to him while it's not as easy to listen to a 6'5 player to everyone else if you are bigger than 6'5.

Dwight is not a leader, he's a joker. Need a hard worker to be leader. Plust this is Harden's team, DH needs to fit in.

If Howard is a leader on this team, we have serious problems.

Harden or Parsons. I'd like for us to sign an enforcer, similar to what Artest was when he was here. A guy who isn't scared of taking the fight to the other teams should things get out of control.

    This.

Have you ever seen a clown lead a group of men?

    I didn't think so. ;)

Leaders aren't picked. That's kind of th point - leaders become evident.

Leaders are not from talents but from the brain. Either you do or you don't and you can't pretend either. Talents give you the right to be leader? Sure, but you can't pretend to be one if you don't have it.

Definitely The beard won't try to threat Howard like his b**** the way Bryant is trying to do with him.

James Harden was the leader in the OKC locker room.

If he is doing the talking over Durant and Westbrook, he is without a doubt taking the role over Howard.

Not sure who the leader will be, but a healthy Dwight will be our best player by a large margin.

Parsons. Leaders do not necessarily have to be the best player.

Yao was the best player on the '09 team, but Battier was the locker-room leader.

Wrong. By ESPN he's rated in the top 10 (#8) and in several stat categories like win shares he's in the top 5 so you can stop thinking that this is just some clutchfans thing.

Also in a perfect world the leader of the team would be both or just the coach.

Does it really matter. If it's truly ateam they will all be leaders. Jeremy and Parsons were the leaders last year no matter who it rally was. Howard is the senior and the bigger star. he will have respect automatically without the title. Give it to him anyway but play like a team and it won't matter.

There's something wrong with your pole.

I don't see the option for Lin.

    Mods, please fix.

This poll definitely needed more choices or a "neither" option.

Howard is a GREAT player...but that does not default you to a leader.

He thinks he's a leader or I should say....expects to be thought of as a leader...but he is a really really good employee, but too immature for a role in management.

He needs to be led, but scoffs at being told what to do.

    This is his main issue.

He sees himself as something he is not and if he just recognized that, he would be a lot happier regardless of where he plays.

But NO he is not at all a leader.

I gotta go Parsons on this one. Longest tenured Rocket, heart and soul of the team.
