They are but both very unlikely. Melo is staying in NY. Living in New York has always been the priority for him and things just got a lot better for him now that Phil's gone. We really really need to get Millsap to jump closer to the Warriors and stay well above the rest of the West but I'm almost certain Millsap ends up with the team that pays him the most, and that won't be us.
I can't believe most of Clutchfans seems to be pretty unenthusiastic about the chances of getting Paul Millsap. Make no mistake. Millsap would instantly make us #2 best team in the league. I would easily take us over Cleveland and SA and giving GS a serious run. The issue is not having flexibility for the banana boat LeBron chase next off-season.

look at the bright side, the PG trade might have lowered the price for melo and millsap in trade. millsap or melo would put us right behind the warriors. both are attainable. morey is just starting with lowball offers of ryno because maybe you get a steal like the PG or boogie trades. just gotta wait for millsap to tell the hawks to trade him to the rockets or he'll sign with the heat and leave them with nothing. at that point they have to decide if ryno is better than nothing. same with knicks. melo's agent will push for a buyout so he can sign here. we just have to wait for the pressure for a buyout to be on... then the knicks have to decide to buy him out, trade him for ryno, or hold onto him and let him sulk and talk sh*t about the team. in time the hawks and knicks will lower their asking price... but as other options start to disappear (blake, PG, hayward) morey will have to up his offer too to make sure you get one of millsap or melo. most likely melo because of the banana boat.
They wont be able to without sign and trade. That's like the only place i'm afraid of losing CP3 to and there's still a calming feeling knowing that if he decides he wants to join the Cavs, we might end up getting Kyrie in a sign and trade OR even just Kevin Love + cap to chase Boogie.
I could be wrong but CP3 is free agent next summer. And he would take a payout to play with his buddies and compete for a ring
