If Tilman reads Clutchfans...what would you say to him?

I am patient enough to give him the benefit of the doubt and see if he is willing to spend in the following three years of Hardens run, but we saw some serious red flags today.

You're doing a great job so far Tilman. Thanks for being totally open to paying the luxury tax as long as we don't get into repeater tax territory. Thanks for keeping Morey, who is about to put an awesome luxury taxed team on the floor the next two seasons.

Love the direction the team is going. I feel you have made all reasonable decisions as owner so far. Landrys still sucks though.

 

Thanks for surrounding our once in a generation player in his prime with...flexibility to make future moves.

 

Tilman would tell you that he never told Daryl Morey that he had to get under the luxury tax this season, only one of the next three seasons.

Morey would tell you that with James Harden's super max kicking in, that this season was by far the best season to get under the luxury tax to prevent the repeater tax from kicking in while Paul is under contract so in reality it had to be this season.

But the only screwing I see is the ducking he's giving us fans .

IF We use the MLE and sign some great pickups / house long term then I'll forgive a bit .

But if we continue to limit our roster in order to stay under the tax .... that's practically unforgivable .

We had soooo many potential moves we could have made (and you KNOW Morey would have been aggressive in making them)

Did we improve the team ... maybe

We gave up a first and multiple seconds .

We didn't get great BASKETBALL value . We got good value from a cost cutting standpoint.
