Let's be honest tho... if you believe in these ref conspiracys... do you really think the NBA would prefer Spurs vs Warriors or Rockets vs Warriors...

There is a really easy answer to this and I believe NBA fans want to see Rockets vs Warriors. This goes 7 and it's up to the Rockets to just make buckets and play team ball.

 

Get over the refs guys! It's getting old. If you make your shots and pull away with the game, the refs can't factor into it as much. When you keep the game close and give the refs a chance to make a 50/50 call that's when it matters. Last night we went like 0/10 at one point on 3's. If you make those shots, we would be so far ahead we would give ourselves a buffer for bad calls.

Bottom line is you can't sit there close when we had a prime opportunity to take it.

 

A rational opionion on clutchfans

San Antonio: small market, boring defensive minded, superstar who never talks, old foreign dudes, old style of basketball, low tv ratings, will lose 4-0 to gs by 20ppg

Houston: large market with a huge Chinese bandwagon fanbase, young exciting style of basketball, recognizable superstar, people want to watch this team, will lose to gs but atleast be competitive, exciting and ppl will watch

If anything, Silver is more likely to rig it to favor the rockets. But a lot of people find it easier to think for some reason everyone hates the rockets

True however there were several suspect calls that game. Not to mention the juxtaposition of the Spurs getting calls on flops and Mills roughing up people on the perimeter without any calls.

You claim to be rational, yet you make no mention of the most obvious factor on both sides of the claim:

The NBA makes more money off series that go more games.

If the NBA as a whole is a profit maximizing agent(by rational economic thinking, it has to be) then we can also conclude that refs should always favor the losing side, but only if it doesn't hurt their own image to do so.

Saying the game is slanted against the rockets is silly. Saying the game isn't slanted at all is even more silly.
