Hmmm....good question. I would say Langhi just because he's the vet among the rookies(Griffin and Morris). Of course they could go small and start with three guards(Norris, Francis, and Cuttino).

Rice should be okay by the start of the season.

Something tells me that your question is rhetorical.

Actually, despite my blatant prejudice in favor of tmo, I think the rockets would probably either start langhi (less likely) or a three-guard rotation (more likely). If tmo were to start this year (very unlikely) it would have to be later in the season, and by then rice should be at full throttle-whatever that means.

And I do think it's possible (from reading the link posted by nj) that rice will not be able to play through this injury come early november.

3-guard, and why assume Walt is gone?

Moochie's the one unsigned, not Walt.

    I would start Griffin.

Rudy would probably start the Wiz.

That is such a good question Tmo. I mean if the wizard was gone by the start of the season and rice got injured(hope not but it will be likely that he will miss at least a few games) who would the rockets be willing to start. Everyone is always saying we are overloaded a the SF but when it comes to starters, do we really have anyone ready? EG isn't really a SF(though he could play mins there I don't think they would be extended in to the 25-30mins there), then you have Langhi and even though he's got a great shot so far he sometimes gets lost and unproductive at times, and then you have Tmo who is another rookie with no experience. Practically it comes down to starting one of three guys with no signifiance playing time experience as your starter though they are all capable of playing SF. I guess the real question is who is going to finish the games?

Or really who is the best of the three? It's like two years ago when the question was who do we start at SG, Cat or Shandon? Shandon started but Cat was the one with the more mins and the one finishing, Cat had more importance even though he was the not starting.

Truely this question is a game of strategy.

Kenny Thomas. Seriously, he should be given a chance at the 3. He definitely needs to be in there over the Wizard.

The Wiz should be here, until Rice is ready. But then, anything can happen. Of the remaining SF's on the roster, the One that has played alot better than the others in preseason, should start. If they have played about the same, than DL. If they have all played poorly, we in BIG trouble. Incase of an emergency, we could slide Mo T over and start KT at 4. Last resort, Slide Wink and Cat over and start Mooch. Which, points out our lack of depth at the guard positions. Even if we sign Mooch, one of our young 3's will have to play some backup at the 2. If we loose Mooch, BIGGER trouble than no Rice. But then, if my aunt had testicles, she'd be my uncle!

The Wizard, because Rudy loves shooters plus he has already played with Francis and Mobley many times before. And he has experience!! Langhi doesn't fit.....yet. TRock hasn't shown consistency, but he might start because of his relationship with Franchise............ might create a spark. Griffin is just too young, 19!

    Option #1- Walt Williams
    Option #2- Dan Langhi/Terence Morris/EG

It would be very hard to choose if Walt is traded to Wash. for JWhite. VERY HARD!

MoT and EG would start at the forwards with MoT playing the more traditional roll at SF but Rudy would not define their rolls so strictly that they could not trade off as the match ups allowed.

    Not really.

He has time to prepare for the season.

He hasn't missed many games either. Somewhat durable.
