If he is available next year, do we go after Romo?

Texans would have to cut/restructure half the roster just to get the cap room to pull this off. Texans are 9 mil under the cap for next year and cutting Brock would create 26 mill in dead money. Its not possible even in Madden football.

looool, probably wouldn't last more than 1 quarter with this abysmal o-line that we have

I would rather get jay cutler. He's younger, not injury prone.

Plus, his remaining contract is not guaranteed. Bears will cut him in the offseason.

Based on your previous posting history, I'm not sure if you're the world's best troll, or you are the one human on the planet that I literally disagree with about EVERYTHING. It's uncanny, really.

Compared to assweiler, cutler is actually pretty good.

He's done in Chicago. Sometimes, a new change in scenery makes all the difference.

You're right, though Hoyer was better than Cutler this year

    What other options are there?

    1. Stick with Assweiler

    2. Draft a QB, even though there's no good qbs in next years draft, and we all know how good Texans are at scouting qbs.

    3. Get broken down romo.

    4. Jay cutler.

Jay cutler is the best choice. We know he's had success before. He's been to the pro bowl and he's got a big arm.

At the very least, he knows how to get the ball to his best receivers like Hopkins and fuller.

Hoyer was outplaying Cutler when he came in. Would probably be better to trade and get Hoyer back over here.

If Romo goes anywhere it will be to a team that has legitimate shot at a SuperBowl. He's a brittle 36 with only 2 post-season wins on his resume so he's not looking to go to a team that's 3-4 years away from contending for the Lombardi throphy. Plus, teams aren't going to want to trade with the Cowboys for Romo because the asking price (as of today) is two 1st round draft picks which I find to be a bit steep.

Don't believe that BS. There is no way for the Texans to put Romo on this roster unless he wants to play for the veterans' minimum.
