If Steve Francis was coming out of college this year, would he be the number one pick in the 2000 draft? Or would some of you pick Kenyon Martin or Stromile Swift over him? ------------------
no doubt about it. imo, steve has more upside then anybody in this draft and he's probably a little more developed than the big name's in this draft. Also, we have already seen that steve can play in the nba, while everyone else is inproven. ------------------ "Don't they get cable in Canada ?" Although Francis should be the number one pick, he probably wouldn't be. GM's almost never take guards with the first overall pick. Iverson was the first one since Magic ... that's two guards in 20 years. The real question is, if Stevie came out in this draft, would Vancouver again take him with the number two only to have Stevie object to playing there, leaving Vancouver no choice but to trade his rights to the Rockets for Michael Dickerson, Othella Harrington, and throw-ins? See, we were destined to end up with Stevie ... ------------------
