I'll give them Mike James for Pietrus & Austin Croshere. Let's unleash Air France! As for Croshere, we cut his sorry ass.

He's averaging around 17mins for the season and 12mins for December.

Wow, if a trade is offered Pietrus will go and not veto it like Kobe? What a gracious gesture on his part.

I would do a James and Novak for Pietrus and Patrick O'Bryant deal. Basically we would be giving up two non rotation players for Pietrus and another non rotation player.

With Tmac out and James still getting no minutes I think its clear he doesnt fit into the plans here. We would love to dump the remaining years on his deal. Novak also looks like he isnt going to ever get minutes for this team. More importantly, neither Pietrus or O'Bryant are long term deals. Pietrus comes off the books this year if we want and I think O'Bryant only has one year left on his rookie deal.

This way we dont have to cut Croshere and eat his contract which obviously is important to Les since he is already over the tax right now.

Again, a gracious gesture on his part.

His veto is essentially meaningless here.

If he vetos the trade, he is an FA and then the team holding his Bird rights is Golden State.

The likelihood of Golden State exercising his Bird rights and signing him to a large contract after him 1. not playing and, 2. pissing them off by vetoing a trade is about this much:

    0

He is giving away ice in the winter.

With the success of the troop surge I think they will have to honor the request of Pietrus.

With Hudson out for the season, they really need a backup pg. They also value three-point shooters. I think an offer of Steve and Luther would get it done. With that said, I'm not sure I would do it.

I would take him, trade Mike James for him......or Snyder, or Francis....etc....NOT Luther...or anyone in the rotation now that is starting to gell.

It's valuable to him as it allows possible sign and trade options.

I just think Mike has about zero value around the league. You aren't to pull a young promising player with an expiring contract for him. Snyder just isn't that good. Francis may have some value to them with their need for a backup point. I think Luther is the only one of those guys that they would even consider. However, we do have the wizard as our gm. Maybe he will pull another rabbit out of the hat.

He's just another player who thinks much too highly of himself. He will learn his true value next summer.

I still haven't forgotten his choke job on the two FTs against the Jazz.

in that case (and i agree with you about not trading anyone who is starting to gell) i don't see why we need him at all. where would he fit? not in front of tmac or shane. off the bench, not in front of luther or bonzi.

tempting to know we can probably just trade spare pieces for him (steve/snyder) but we don't need him right now.

Why not. . . unless you figure he won't be in the rotation
cause if he comes here. . they will have to adjust and gell again anyway
