That is not what he is implying. He is stating someone who can't prove they are a US citizen can be deported. Of course Carl is trolling and being intentionally vague to create discord.
It might be the news bubble I'm in, but ICE seems to operate with an incompetence without accountability. Stuff like: not keeping track of which kids go with which parents, migrants allegedly not knowing when their court dates are, migrants deported before a judge could render a deportation order. Plus there's plenty of stories to be googled of immigration detention for citizens until their citizenship is ultimately proved. With that impression, it would not surprise me at all to hear anecdotes of citizens actually deported.
I don't think they can deport them legally. I believe it is true that the process of detaining and even holding people in jail on probable cause by ICE is not subject to judicial review (https://cpoa.org/district-court-con...w-ice-officers-probable-cause-determinations/) and that US citizens have been almost deported (https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/...eport-us-citizens-in-miami-aclu-says-11122765) per a report and law suit filed by the ACLU against Miami-Dade county.
Does this mean everyone has to carry papers with them now? Theoretically, white people could be illegal from Europe or Russia, black people could be illegal from Africa, and Asian and Arab people could be illegal from Asia and the Middle East. The only people who wouldn't need anything are Native Americans.
A serious response to a hyperbolic question: don't carry your passport because it might get lost or stolen. And, practically, a good American accent is your ticket to ride for most white and black people. But, if I was hispanic (outside of my avatar) and especially if I had an accent, I'd want to carry some proof. According to this, you might have a star on your driver's license to indicate that you are a citizen or a permanent resident, called REAL ID. It turns out I have one! Absent that, I might carry a photocopy of the passport book, and memorize the passport number. And somehow I'd be more comfortable risking to lose a passport card than a passport book.
How do you know they are indigenous to the United States parts of America, though, and not Mexico or Canada?
The US government is introducing a new fast-track deportation process that will bypass immigration courts. Under the new rules, any undocumented migrants who can't prove they've been in the US continuously for more than two years can be immediately deported. The policy is expected to be published on Tuesday, and then implemented across the country with immediate effect. "Papers, please." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Your_papers,_please
Cannot wait to see ICE do its job. Comparing them to nazis is very unfair. Typical leftist bs. You are ruining the Hitler comparison. I can't take anyone using it seriously now. The immigration problem is at a crisis level and they are acting. Don't blame loopholes and leftist groups that have been helping push immigrants up in swarms. Blame the people trying to protect the country under ridiculous circumstances. People who actually think Trump is a new Hitler are darranged and are a danger to our society because they may start getting violent. I don't actually believe that most of you buy your own rhetoric.
I love the Trump "Just Build a Wall" people... What is his comprehensive immigration policy? How is he going to deal with H1B visas, and mere greencards for labor that we need? Has he spelled this out ever? Ever? Anyone? Of course he hasn't. Not a deep-thinker, this guy. And his Muppet supporters just keep clapping.
