Ross Taylor was indeed the Plunderer of Pallekele. That 6 on the 48.5 over was one of the biggest shots I've ever seen.

good win for india, but they still lack that killer mentality. should have beaten the crap out of ireland.

first true test against south africa this weekend. and south africa will be gunning for a victory after the embarrassing collapse against england.

India chocked big time with bowling and batting. They could have scored more than 350+ runs. As amazing as it is to see Sachin play the way he does, you have to wonder where would India be without him.

India needs to do something about their bowling. Seriously.

The group stage just ended today. Next is the quarter-finals:

    Pakistan vs West Indies
    India vs Australia
    South Africa vs New Zealand
    Sri Lanka vs England

Personally, I am hoping for a Pakistan vs India semifinal. That would be EPIC...

India will choke as usual at some point but not sure it will be against Australia, how side is just horrible. Being knocked out by the Paki's would be great though! I still think Sri Lanka will end up winning, just a solid team.

This is one of the worst Australian teams I can ever remember. If they beat India then India is terrible at the only sport they are even decent at!

No way India loses against Australia this time. They have home field advantage and Australia played their worst cricket in the last ten years in their last match. I'm not expecting them to bounce back.

Here are the four teams I want standing after the quarters: India, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and South Africa.

As if Pakistan is some sort of bastion for clutchness....lol.

India over Aussies and then knock the living **** out of those evil bastards to the west!

Damn...I hope so, but Pakistan looks good with wins over Sri Lanka (though Malinga did not play) and Aussies.

Lets see if Roach has some more magic up his sleeves against Paki. I hope WI wins the toss and chooses to bat first. If the pressure is on WI to chase then Paki bowling will be tough.

At the beginning of the World Cup, I'd have agreed that no way Pakistan would be able to beat India, but really ... India, to me, has not been all that impressive. They've managed to win, which is what matters I suppose, but haven't been as dominant as I thought they would be.

Pakistan ... they're always a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde case ... you never know which team shows up to play any given day.

Could go either way if they both make it to the semis.
