I want to goto the beach, one that involves sand not stupid rocks. Any ideas? Near Houston of course.
Yup! Answer was provided by one of the girls here (I think it was Meggo Leggo) answer: Galveston - but go down South about 25 minutes to Beach Access # 36 (just before the San Luis pass bridge). I just took the family there and had just about the best time I've ever had at Galveston. The water is brown (and it will be, unless you drive 4+ hours to Corpus or further). But the sand was powder and the water temp was perfect. It ain't Colifornia, but it was a good time. I hear that Pirate Cove is equally as good.
I was going to say that instead of going to galveston, you could just pour water in the holes lola has been digging and have the same experience. South Texas is the only thing I can come up with. 5 hour road trip..what could possibly go wrong?
We went to Mustang Island which is just a little bit further south than Port Aransas a couple of weeks ago and it was much nicer than I thought it would be. We had planned South Padre but that trip fell through because of a death in the family. I'll be going back down there next month for a fishing trip. I'm looking forward to it.
I went down to stewart beach in Galveston this past weekend. So nice to be down near the ocean again. I'll be suba diving in the red sea this Christmas too. Can't wait.
I just went to exit 34 I think. it was nice being able to drive up onto the beach. I just wish they had somewhere to shower afterwards.
I'll be on the Jeddah side. Can't wait. I was supposed to do it a few years ago but terrorists ruined my plans.
