I know it's not controversial, but it has to be said, give me regular season performer (say like Harden and CP3) over PO guy (say like Kyrie) any day of the week. I live 365 days a year and need good basketball to watch on a daily basis.

Nah. Hakeem was one of the rare players who played better in the playoffs. I prefer that.

It's not controversial, in the sense that nobody would actually pick your side of this debate. :p

what is clever is perhaps that you get to be satisfied and enjoy for longer periods of time ie for six months...i quickly get over postseason defeat...

the better players you have, the better your stars play in the playoffs. Kyrie in the West in a first round exit.

Kyrie in the West will lead his team to the lottery unless its stacked.

CP3 and Harden are way better than Kyrie RS or PS. Its easy to thrive under Lebron's shadow.

I prefer Harden and CP3 over Kyrie too, but Regular Season wins over Playoff wins?

I'm probably one of the few guys that enjoyed the 'mediocre years' (post TMac/Yao and before Harden) because I enjoyed watching our scrappy squad work hard every night - even if we had no real shot at post season success....
But I also find no real enjoyment in a good regular season - if we then turn to crap in the post season... then its just a tease...

so regular season or post season... as long as the team gives their all... and isnt bogged down in drama or diva behavior... I'm a happy guy...

but the goal is post season success.... if you're gonna build a house of cards that has regular season success but falls apart in the post season - why bother... i'd rather watch a mediocre regular season thats hopefully working towards future post season prosperity...
