Dmo isn't that big of a reason to have a players only meeting. The chemistry for the rest of the team is good right now.
I think Sam is talking about how this could be a SPECIAL year if the team hunkered down and focused. I agree - if that is what you are saying Sam. DD
The player's meeting needs to be about the amount of D-Mo threads and for the guys to stop making them.
I don't think so . The players need to trust the coaching staff and abide by whatever decision they make and stay ready . D'antoni isn't gonna immediately play Dmo 30 minutes a game . He's gonna have to earn those minutes . I figure the leash will also be pretty short . D'antoni seems like a guy that knows how to spread the pt around ... Maybe not in one game , but over the course of several games players that are earning minutes will get them . Also the season is a marathon you will get your shot eventually if you stay ready . I like our veteran leadership . Ryan , Gordon these are guys that have been in the league and know their role . Both have come off the bench. James used to come off the bench . Ariza is a huge glue guy . Nene seems like a great veteran presence . And for that matter so does Brewer . I think as long as James is putting forth the effort to lead and as long as he is on the same page as the coaching staff , the rest will fall into place . For the record I think Dmo has always been regarded a great chemistry guy. I think his presence in the locker room will be humble and that no one will begrudge him if he earns playing time .
You don't need a players only meeting for that. In fact, I'd want the coaches in the room if a discussion like that were to be held.
another in dissent. if they're winning, let it ride. let the doods be doods without the burden of some unnecessary gravitas
You guys fear DMo will destroy the team's chemistry? I 100% guarantee he will snap his back before April.
Rockets player's meeting in their corner-turning year of 1992-1993 (Rudy's first as well) Hakeem: Giff me da ball. And fockass Rest of Team: I can do that team high-five
