I was the biggest rockets fan on the planet. But I’m sick and tired of them playing like trash. We don’t deserve this. Everytime we make the WCF. Our team is trash the following year. We’re supposed to build on it. At this time of my life I can’t add more stress to my life from an awful rockets team. I just cant
Obviously you weren't the biggest Rockets fan on the planet if you can't bare a teetering .500 season that's only 20 games in. Where were you for the KMart Rockets? lmfao We could fall into an abyss as the worst team in the league and I'll still cheese wider than hell when my phone alarm goes off for tipoff.
I was in for Kmart rockets. I don’t know man if I’m getting too old to follow everyday or just basketball in general has become boring. I still get emotional as hell for rockets games don’t get me wrong. But this season has been a bit too stressful for me after the hell of the season I watched in 2015. I never wanted that unexpected .500 type trash season again. So maybe seeing the rockets now are bringing all the bad memories, and it’s tough to watch
In your defense, I kinda get where you are coming from. Last year's WCF was completely rigged, hard to hope for and follow anything if its already predetermined.
I once interviewed Asia for a comedy website I owned. She was really funny and very smart, which I found odd considering what she did for a living. Did all of her own tech work, etc.
I hear ya. There have been a couple of moments this year when a voice popped into my head and said, "Do you really need to watch every game?" So far, I've just pushed that voice away. But if things get even worse, I'm not so sure I can stomach watching Unhappy Harden for another half-season. Happy Jim is a joy to watch; Unhappy Jim, when he seems to hate everything that his team is doing, is just painful.
+1. I still miss his standard stuff -- "______ for three! (for three! for three!)" "Jaaaaaaames Harden. With a three-point play the ollllllllllld-fashioned way!"
Love Matt Thomas' show on 790. I can tolerate him as the PA announcer, but JP was a million times better.
