In February Tilman Fertitta says that I have no problem paying luxury tax if I think that it gives me the chance to win the championship next year. I can go put a team together (of stars), and be paying $150 million or $200 million in luxury tax. What do you like about this? If we keep Ariza and Moute, it can make our trade more feasible. We can deal them and a first round pick for trade for Otto Porter or Kevin Love, and we still have depth.
I love Tilman because Saltgrass is semi good. Vic & Anthony's / Mastro's has all the hoes of Houston. Golden Nugget is pretty cool. He spent 95% of his money to buy the Rockets and now he's paying the rest of his money (500 mill Luxury Tax) for Ryan Andersons contract. He's just a broke bum that owns a team. I Love the Fertitta Mafia.
...because he's self-made, loves Houston, is willing to spend what it takes, and doesn't appear to be a "meddler".
Don’t be fooled, he has already seen his team value go up hundreds of millions with the legal gambling ruling.
He's going to spend more in salary and tax than Les ever did, or ever would have in my opinion. So, I'm happy he's the owner.
I thought he would be cheap but he's going to pay more in luxury tax this year than Les did in all the years he owned the rockets combined.
I love the Tillman because of his struggles to rise above poverty and an undesirable city to win an NBA Championship.
