Super massively flawed perspective is why you're believing that you're seeing this. Rewind 10 years and Yao and McGrady were getting massively bashed here. 15 years, and the same with Francis. Harden is our man right now and the short-sighted knee-jerkers will keep doing their thing. No player is safe from the crucible of Clutchfans until they are gone and then the mob randomly decides whether to lynch or immortalize them.

Even nowadays, McGrady and Francis are more roasted than deified on here (the fact that your post has 5+ 'likes' is proof), and Lin has barely been mentioned by anyone outside of 2 posters since that whole storm passed.

I like the Astros reference and it's fitting. Altuve's best game in the playoffs last year was his first -- the 3 HR game. Harden had an analogous game to that in his first game.

Unfortunately the national media will still hate him. Look at these silly shows like the Dan Patrick Show. Dan Patrick obviously hasn't read an NBA rule book and doesn't know what a gather step is but he was trashing Harden for "always traveling". Multiple shows have been saying this and now because Charles Barkley had to go a step to far by saying "he might be the greatest scorer ever", people are laughing at that and just flat out dismissing Harden.

He just can't win in the eyes of the media. It sucks as fans of him and this team but what can you do?

Ppl thought the dream shake was a travel, Lebron and Jordan each took 3 steps wen driving to the hoop. KD carries the ball every time he makes a dribble penetration move.

All the greats get hated on because they can’t be stopped.

Harden is getting into the jordan Lebron Kobe KD class. He’s just gotta win a freaking chip.

He’s got the unstoppable move that nobody’s ever done before. He’s got the stats he’s got the Accolades.

He’s checks every box for being a transcendent top 15 player off alltime. Only thing left to do is win championships.

That’s it everything else is their.

He even has the iconic look and style that all the greats had. You just know who harden is like you know who Lebron magic Jordan and bird are.

    He’s special man.

To bad we couldn’t get him real help sooner so more ppl could have appreciate him.

I remember Francis getting vilified for being a brainless ballhog, especially after that Super Bowl situation. T-Mac was totally vilified for being a gutless, inefficient chucking diva and even booed on his return. Many of us still think negatively about him. Lin was only deified by the infestation of LoF's. The rest of us range from disdain to meh. Even Dream was vilified at one point, especially when he was faking an injury. People just have short memories, that's all.

    Let me see...

    Still in love with Harden.

    Just saying.

Harden just had an all-time playoff quarter with 22 points in 8 minutes.

    HAIL HARDEN!

I think Jim overtook McGrady for playoffs points per game for a Rocket after tonight's performance, so he's got that going for him.
