That trade is sorry. Cato is working out real hard over this offseason... he'll prolly be pretty good next year. If we trade him, who's gonna be our center? Athletic 6'11 guys with lotsa potential are hard to find.

We'd be better off keeping our 9th pick and drafting someone.

I wouldn't trade the Catomic Bomb or KT.

    On Chicago,

I agree that they may make a trade to address their needs, but they are likely to get a lot better offers than this. You assert Drew is "a proven player", but he has only "proven" himself in a very limited number of games. I firmly believe that the jury is still out on Drew, especially considering his lousy career FG%. If Drew was in this year's draft, I doubt that he would go as high as #16 again.

I also, agree that Miles is a project, but at this point, so are the Bulls [IMG]

If Detroit does give them the #14 this year, it makes the deal a little better (sort of like adding a little K-Y Jelly to it [IMG] ).

    On NJ,

I wasn't aware that they were actively shopping the pick; thanks for the info [IMG] That said, they are probably going to get a lot of offers for that pick. Do you think they'd prefer Walt and #4, or by bypassing Houston all-together, the #4 and the #7? Let me rephrase that, what would you choose Walt or the #7 [IMG] ?

On trading up with or without Cato

Well, what can I say? You have to give up value to get value, and Cato is the most tradeable player on our team. Guys like Drew (and possibly Williams) will be traded most likely, but the likelihood that they will bring us anything more than just good role-players to address our weaknesses even when combined with our #9, is extremely slim.

Your proposed "Cato/Drew/#9 for Clips #3 and Kandi" is a more reasonable offer for both teams and I would pull the trigger on that also.
