There is no way he's worth the max, to any team... Even if he stays healthy the rest of the season. I don't think he's even going to ask for it.

I really hope he doesn't ask for the max. Would make it so much easier.

He is a difference maker. First tier players in Durant, Lebron and Harden and then you have CP who is not far behind. Only issue will be health

When he starts playing again you hold your breath because you don’t know how long it’s going to last.

Yea this is becoming concerning but also keep in mind they were winning without him, the other injuries stacked are the problem

29-year-old Tracy McGrady's and Yao's "only issue" was health, too. Except in Chris Paul's case, it's health and his age. I think he's a player who's going to begin to drop off reasonably sharply in his mid 30s. He may not rely on athleticism a ton, but speed/agility are still important to him, and you combine that with his mileage and injury history, and he's not likely to have a ton left in the tank.

Who can we realistically get that’s better?

If he can go in the playoffs and if giving him max $$ = guys like Tucker and Luc (and maybe Jordan if Clint leaves) taking less to be here.....yup.

And Harden likes to play with him and most importantly share the ball handling duties

This was never about regular season. This was always about postseason with CP3.

You guys are delusional if you think CP3 is not worth the max. Even with the injuries, guys like freaking Joakim Noah are making almost 20M+ a year. CP3 is going to get paid.

Joel Embiid who hasn’t even completed a season got the max extension. CP3 is getting the max.

Agree with most here, cp3 will indeed get the max.

It’s a players league now and everybody’s getting insane money. Otto Portter is in a max contract worth $104m just FYI.

Cp3 is still one of the best and I’m sure he will give his 100% for another run at the ring. Just wait until playoffs.

Not saying CP3 isn't going to get the max, but you can't really compare the two situations. Embiid's contract is based off youth and potential - both of which are there. Embiid is a beast.

Yes, but he needs to be at his fittest during the playoffs. Harden will break down without him. EG can't carry the load either. I would like to see if the Rockets can get DJ Augustin by the February deadline. Will Orlando start tanking by then, if they are not in a position to make the playoffs?

Otto Porter got way more and his production is similar to that of Robert Covington - 1.577 million this year.....wth...maybe just a tad better.

It’s just crazy money some of them are getting for their production. We got so lucky on luc in terms of his production and how much we paid for.

I be I.D.I.O.T. if we pay a swing man who is no Allstar this kind of money.
