I stand by my remakes because objectively, josh harrelson is better than Clint Capela.

Thanks for being so objective in clutch fans! Dropping truth bongs everywhere for the good of basketball-kind.

There were none because Harden didn't want them.

No sorry. There were available playmakers. But Harden did not want anybody that was available.

Capel was bad defensively in the playoffs last season. There's no way around it. Rewatch the games. He was late and he got banged around like a pinball by opposing bigs.

Just like how LeBron didn't win because he REFUSED to play with all-star talent?

    Also Thong Maker > Capela

Not at all. Quite the opposite.

We didn't need an all-star playmaker last year to be better than we were. We simply needed another playmaker. We needed two playmakers/distributors on the floor together. We needed the other guy that could create when teams dogpiled Harden. We couldn't acquired one of a dozen guys and they would've made the team better by being able to create when teams tripled up on Harden and forced him to give up the basketball.

It's not like we didn't know what was coming in the playoffs. (At least some of us knew. The majority thought we were going to plow right through the Spurs.. But some of us knew the Harden dogpile was coming.) And Morey knew it too. But he brought in nobody. Why?

Because Harden didn't want to play alongside another distributor who would take the ball out of his hands but couldn't score the ball like Harden could. The Rockets organization, Morey, and MDA catered (and still are catering) to Hardens whims.

And that's how we wound up with Harden and four stooges looking totally inept against the Spurs last year, even though the Spurs weren't healthy.

Yes, Harden didn't ask for an offensive liability like Rondo or Rubio. If we traded for one of them, the defense could just hunt for turnovers and smother Harden even more because we would be running with only 3 shooters on the floor. If you think that your man crush Bricky Rubio would have beat the spurs last year, then I honestly wouldn't be surprised given your prior hot takes (Wiltjer > Anderson, Utoff > Anderson, Harellson > Capela, Maker > Capela)

Here's another one. You're attempting to make this about Rubio. I said we needed a second playmaker/distributor and the reason we didn't have one was because Harden did not want any of the available players. Dispute that all you want.

Exactly, so josh harrelson is better than Clint Capela. No way around it. I mean, it’s fairly obvious IMO.

How will Zhou Qi be viewed by the end of the season?

Still a scrub. Nothing has changed from my earlier assessment.

If we are to believe @basketballholic, playing Zhou Qi instead of Capela would have meant a win for game 1 against the Warriors.

(Just trying to cut through the tension in this forum)
