I'm guess he's looking for $65+ Mill (which I think he's worth). Though I don't know about a Max contract for him. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rumors/...lt=AiZIW2boQ47sM.qF8SeHjKG8vLYF?urn=nba,52241 ---------------------------------------- Igoudala turns down 5-year, $57 million offer Saturday, Nov 3, 2007 1:06 pm EDT Getty Images The Philadelphia Daily News reported that Philadelphia 76ers forward Andre Iguodala, the 76ers' best player, said no to the team's final offer of a contract extension as the NBA deadline passed at midnight Wednesday. Maybe his family is bigger than that of Spree's? I wouldn't pay that much for AI if I was Le$. No way, I don't think he's that great. He's freakish athletic, but I don't see him leading a team to the promise land. Now if he's worth somewhere about 30 mil, then I'd consider him.
The guy is athletic, young, and talented. He has a pretty good shot and can finish around the rim with the best. He would be a great addition at any price ...under 10 mil a year for 4 years.
I think he's worth more -- he's an upcoming superstar in his own right. He really came into his own last season after the trade that brought him out of Iverson's shadow. He's very athletic, can handle the ball well, shoots well, can slash AND can create for others. There are very few players who have those credentials, and pretty much all of them are perennial all-stars. Of course, it doesn't help his cause that he plays on a bad team with very little national exposure so not many people realize how good he really is.
If Larry Hughes got 60 mil, then Iggy will get it too. I'm sure the Cavs would rather have him at this point.
Considering Iverson left midway through last season - half a season and not making the playoffs does not make him any less of a player.
