I know this is fairly private information and not much is known about gm salaries, but does anyone know?

Morey is vastly overpaid for his production and talent level and has an untradeable contract.

We should trade his contract for an expiring deal.

Fully non-guaranteed, and decreases each year. Genius...designed his contract with complete flexibilty in mind. I just hope he doesn't end up making himself feel like he's an asset at risk of being traded at any moment. Can't have our FO experiencing chemistry and trust issues. Hope he'll be professional about it.

He works off comission. For every low ball offer he signs, he gets compensated.

Nah, Les better max Morey out. I sure would hate for someone to snatch Morey up.

I agree. Good thing we snatched up Mchale. And soon Terry will get snatched up.

Doesn't matter. He will get overpaid by Cuban when he expires...

We find great GMs not overpay them!

He actually thinks of himself as a JLin type! "Poison Pill" contract all the way baby...

    Yes I know...
A poison pill contract is/was (not sure if it's still used) an offer to a restricted free agent specially structured to make it difficult for the player's original team to match.

Morey found a way to use this against teams trying to snatch him away...;)

Non-guaranteed. Got to keep the flexibility. Great asset.

I'm sure Morey has some clever way to maximize his earnings from the Rockets.

Morey is so smart, he will eventually end up being an owner. Mark my words.

He will never be a majority owner unless he comes up with a billion dollars. Regardless of how smart someone is, it doesn't mean you can buy anything and everything.

It doesn't have to be his money to be acting owner. He can have a group of investors, similar to Magic Johnson when he wanted to buy the Clippers.

Morey earns a dollar as GM, but makes a killing on the bitcoin farm from his "analytics department".
