Once in a while, a team lets it be known that they will give up a very high draft pick if some team will take a certain player off their hands. How much space would we be willing to part with for the number one pick?

    Depends on the draft.

For this draft, none. For next year's draft, I'd take on any contract in the league.

I'd take on some for this year and stash Nerlens Noel, but agreed on next year. Wiggins will be phenomenal.

I would take on Michael Kidd-Gilchrist for the Bobcats #1. They could even throw in Biyombo and Kemba and I would eat that too.

How about if Dwight Howard were off the table?

My point is, if Dwight were off the table, we wouldn't need every last dollar of cap space. We're not going to pay max for Josh Smith.
