it was more of a sigh of relief for me because the Blazers would’ve swept us if we didn’t pull that game out, and that would’ve been incredibly embarrassing

    Wow

    1. that moment was legit
    2. The first thing that came to my head though was the Lin turnover tragedy

ugh. Roco on top of that... smh

That series was such a rollercoaster, mainly due to us really underperforming, but at least it was really exciting.

The Blazers just destroyed in the clutch. It seemed like they would make every shot and make no mistakes. The Rockets were young and dumb.

The Lin turnover was in Game 4. Cost us the game and the series.

Are you kidding? I leaped up out my chair, shaking my fist. I would have high-fived somebody had anyone else been in the room.

Bill with a great call on the play, and Bull at his best as second banana. What a scramble. Gotta give props to Jerry for coming up with the ball and making a perfect pass to Daniels, who hit, as Bill accurately described it, the shot of his life. Thanks, OP. A nice memory revived.

Yeah, ultimately the series didn’t end well, to put it mildly, but this was a good moment.

Before I clicked on the thread I didn’t come close to thinking of this moment.

The Blazers looked like the mighty warriors playing against us that series. This highlight was exciting because we needed this game to stay in it.

It was Harden that told Pay Bev and Parsons to switch. Go back and look at the footage. The real issue was the game play started immediately after not giving ample time. Rockets weren't ready to come back in yet.

Lamarcus Aldridge literally was Hakeem Olajuwon in that series. Hitting 90% of his Post Ups and Midrange Shots.

Didn't really get me hyped, just a nervous fist and "hell / **** yeah" with clenched teeth as I was so pissed at that point the way the series had gone. Still not cannot believe how many things went wrong in that series: stubbornness of McHale to have Jones on LMA two games straight and switch defense - yes Harden may have said it to Bev & Chandler, but that was highly likely to remind them since McHale had a switching defense as well - to Lin's inept and jittery play, Howard refusing to pick and roll more and not playing Garcia nor Casspi more with those 7-8 man rotations. McHale might have been the biggest problem in 2014, but he made up for it by benching Harden in 2015 so.

I was actually at that game in Portland. So hyped! The tram ride back to the hotel listening to salty Blazers fans was glorious.

It's certainly one of the most interesting/entertaining series in Rockets history.
