    2001    Fisher    Bryant
    2000    Harper    Bryant
    1999    Johnson   Elie
    1998    Harper    Jordan
    1997    Harper    Jordan

Who else is on the team?

Tough to answer if you don't know who the other players are...

I'm still in shock that the Lakers have not replaced Fisher at PG with a WNBA player or even a scarecrow. If LA had either Brooks or Lowry they would be unbelievably scary.

If the Rockets were playing more than the sum of their parts at the beginning of the season.

The combo of Martin and Brooks will play less than the sum of their parts.

Martin and Brooks are like oil and water. Together, they are worthless than all those combos. Individually, Brooks is comparable to Fisher, Harper, and old Payton. Martin is comparable to only Elie.

Brooks/Martin should be the most unguardable backcourt combo in today's NBA. Adelman will make it jive eventually. Still no superstar caliber go-to perimeter scorer... but Martin can close.

I highely doubt that Fisher comes back next year. He is definitely gonna retire and is gonna be replaced by Farmar. Kobe is gonna be Kobe for at least the next 100 years. I say Brooks>Farmar, Kobe>Martin.

barring a trade for Lebron, Wade, JJ, bosh, amare, OR k-mart becoming an ALL NBA type player, IMO the rockets will not be real title contenders. NBA title contenders in my view are teams you view as having atleast a 1/5 chance at winning it.

unguardable in the sense that they cannot guard a wet paper bag?

I tend to think of the 1 through 3 spots as a set rather than just the PG and SG positions. And to be honest, I don't know if a starting combo of Brooks/Martin/Ariza or Lowry/Martin/Ariza would be good enough for a championship. Maybe if we somehow get an all-star power forward to play alongside Yao, it could work. But as it stands, there's something missing.

I see Lowry taking over soon enough and Brooks going to his natural role of off the bench sparkplug. Youve got to have some balance, Brooks starting when you have offensively inept swings is fine, but with Kevin around, he needs his backcourt mate to provide more of a defensive presence. Lowry is one of the better defensive PG's.

Will this team ever win a championship with Aaron Brooks as the starting PG?

Thanks durvasa. I kinda thought they were somewhere in the middle of the pack. I want to see how much that changes going forward.

I'd say with Yao since he will open up the court for Brooks and Martin to shoot 3's at will almost, and Kevins ability to get free throws...I'd say top 11

Not sure about offense, but defense is clearly the worst by far.

Fisher plays his role. He leads the team and hits clutch shots. They don't need another playmaker/excellent offensive player.
