You evaluate it by not overreacting to an injury the first year.

what do yall think now? it's early to judge rookies careers still.

Still entirely possible that 76ers won the trade. we'll see

if fultz continue to trend upwards and stay healthy, its definitely a close one. Tatum is going to be a very good player in this league. this playoff run with bostons best out, is going to improve his development greatly.

Fultz looks completely difference since hes come back this time around. playing with alot of confidence and hes clearly skilled.

Boston/Philly-the future of the east next year

I forget - did Boston make the trade after they got Kyrie?

    Kyrie / Hayward / Tatum / Horford

    Fultz / Kyrie / Hayward / Horford

The former looks way better than the latter. The young core 3 + a reliable 5 that doesn't rely on athleticism will not only win you games in the East, but it'll attract FAs, as well. Helps that Stevens is the best young coach in the league, too.

Celtics still probably "won" the trade but I hope Fultz shuts the doubters up and makes them look stupid. Looks like he's on his way.

It's a shame neither Simmons nor Fultz can shoot a 3 because if they were on the court together it would be surreal.

Fultz will be a 3-point shooter next season. Not sure Simmons will ever get there.

Lol Celts definitely won the trade and Sixers definitely lost the trade.

Celtics were taking Tatum regardless, Lakers were taking Ball anyway, Fultz was theirs all along and they lost a draft pick for nothing. Its a super dumb move, and even if the Celtics DID take Fultz first Sixers would actually be better of if they got Mitchell instead.

Fultz is playing better now but until he proves he can shoot a 3 he won't be a star. You need to shoot 3s as a pg especially when Ben Simmons is on your team.

Damn, can you imagine Tatum on this team?! Simmons - Reddick - Tatum - Saric - Embiid would be a championship team in the making. They're still very good, but need one more guy on the wings who can shoot the 3 and bang inside. Not sure about Fultz yet, though he's no slouch.

looks like a lot of people aren't familiar with fultz. he is already a capable 3 pt shooter. its just been rehab all year with his shoulder so its not something youll see much of this year in the nba. once he gets that confidence and rhythm back hell be fine as far as his jumper. A offseason should take care of that as long as he is healthy

    It's too early to say.
This trade also includes a FRP that seems to end up being 2019 unprotected.

Too early to tell. Remember Tyreke Evans won ROY over Harden & Curry.

you evaluate with the only thing that matters in today's NBA. triple doubles.

right now its 1-0 for fultz.

The Sixers got Ainge'd unless Fultz outplays the haul the Celtics got for him. I think Brad Stevens maximizes his players which inflates their value, but it will be hard for Fultz to out play the haul Ainge got in the trade.

Simmons is third of all time for most triple doubles as a rookie... so at this pace he will be 3rd best player of all time

Did he even get that big of a haul?

Sixers are the 3 seed in the east already. They’re probably going to be top 3-4 no matter what for the foreseeable future.

Fultz for Tatum and a late pick in the 20’s isn’t that bad at all.

But the problem is not whether Fultz is better than Tatum, its that Celts were gonna draft Tatum in the first place and Lakers were gonna go with Chino Hills product Ball.

Thats why Celts won the trade and Sixers lost the trade. Even if Fultz became GOAT and leads Sixers to 10 titles Sixers still lost this trade cuz they gave up a pick for nothing.

Sixers are top 3 thanks to Embiid, Simmons and Reddick who have nothing to do with this trade. What if Sixers got Donovan Mitchell instead? They might be top 1 seed by now.

I wonder what Hinkie would have done? Fake interest in Fultz and trade to grab Tatum, IDK.

I don't think Hinkie would trade the Kings pick as well
