Yeah... that was on my list of MMP HR's that were ultimately forgotten due to the eventual outcome of the game.

Kent's HR has the advantages of being the first huge playoff HR at MMP (one year before the Burke/Berkman ones... so many of the fans had experienced a semblance of the bedlam very recently) , being a walk-off winner, and being in the NLCS against a superior Cardinals team on the big national stage.

I don't know who you are, I don't know where you came from, I really don't care.

Crawl back into the hole from whence you came, turn around, back up, and just go **** yourself.

I was there. Crowd was silent. Everyone was like: "wait...what?" Then it erupted once it donned that it was over the yellow line

That was before replays. Would have been "so Houston" had the ups ruled that ball in play and not a HR.

Others have mentioned the Berkman go ahead HR in the Pujols game. That Berkman HR was the loudest I've ever yelled in excitement from watching a game at home.

It would have been for me... Had I not yelled louder the year before for Kent's

Also, Berkman's was a Crawford box special. I had to hear it from annoying cardinals fans. Kent's was a no doubter.

Ausmus also hit a 3-run bomb in '97 in the game that clinched the division. Gave Hampton some cushion.

Feldman reaches a contract incentive with by not allowing a run in an inning. C'mon Astros.

I've been waiting for someone to break this record for awhile. It is pretty crazy it has stood for so longer.

Hoping Altuve can keep his current pace.

Another similarity with bonds. He is walking without striking out a lot.

    Through 38 games played...

    22 walks, 19 k's

Leads league in runs, doubles, stolen bases, OBP, OPS+, and total bases.

    Unreal season so far.

Altuve thus far has to be leading the MVP race. I would've never thought that possible a few years ago.

Probably Machado just because we are so bad as a team

But he is certainly playing as good as anyone

Typically, baseball doesn't care if you're on a winning team or not (unlike the NFL or NBA).

A-Rod won the MVP on a last place Rangers team.

Fair enough, but if the two are really close and one is on the most disappointing team in baseball.....
