How are the Spurs elite at home and awful on the road?

Spurs (who are not a good team, btw) are going to have an elite home record - 33-8, just a game back of Houston and Toronto - yet are scuffling along with the rest of the West 3-9 "field" due to their awfulness on the road

Is the lure of San Antonio cooking taht strong? Like the way it was in game 5 last year? Did Pop do more "DNP-Rests" on the road to lean into the home-cooking advantage?

This is an enigma wrapped in a gordita.

Maybe they release an odorless and undetectable toxin into the visitor’s locker room during halftime which make the opposing team play worse. Wouldn’t put anything past them after they shut the AC off during the final minutes of game 1 the year they won their last title to overheat Lebron.

Spurs are a dirty team, one time when the Cavs came to play a game at San Antonio. They turned off the Air Conditioner in the locker room. The players were really sweating. Also I read they had a snake in the visiting locker room, the players got frightened. No wonder no big time free agents want to ever go there, Popovich constantly screaming at you. Cheating, Cheap Shots, Undercutting player, Dirty Tactics, Dirty Players.

Pretty much this. And it is amplified in the playoffs.

Came to make a churros one-liner but see I was beat to it long ago. Shame.

They don't have their best player playing. What would the rockets record be without harden?
