Interesting how Houston's Western Conf record is extremely close to GS and SA. only 2.5 games behind. Western Conference CONF RECORD 1y -Golden State Warriors 32-9 2x -San Antonio Spurs 30-11 3x -Houston Rockets 30-12 4Utah Jazz 25-18 5LA Clippers 23-19 6Oklahoma City Thunder 25-19 7Memphis Grizzlies 27-16 8Denver Nuggets 20-24
In fairness, the Heat have been on a tear lately. The Rockets still should've won that game in Miami, but those losses look way different in retrospect. The Pacers and Hawks though. Those hurt. Especially that 20-point 4th quarter choke job at home.
These types of stats are interesting, but I'm not sure how relevant. What's more relevant to me is that we're 1-1 against the Warriors, 1-3 against the Spurs but it could EASILY be 3-1 seeing they absolutely gave away the last two, 1-2 against the Jazz (Jazz give the Rockets trouble!), 2-0 against the Clippers, 2-1 against the Thunder, 2-2 against the Grizzlies (but again completely gave one game away). So that's pretty even, and would be pretty solid but for the 3 games given away. I don't see any easy matchups in the playoffs, but I do see that they can win against anyone in a long series if they're on their games.
Smh.. Hawks, Pacers and Heat. Had to mess up the 60 wins season. To be honest, if we won those two games versus the Spurs. I believe we would be sitting in the 2nd seed.
