Alright, alright, so I have 36 posts in this thread. And perhaps I'm a little obsessed. I can't help it, though. Just so much comedy in this entire saga.

I thought their trailer park.....er, "RV resort" was supposed to open November 1st? I already booked my family vacation there. Oh well...at least they have some shiny new fire hydrants we can enjoy.

I don't get why you're so cynical about all this. This place has everything! Fire hydrants, drainage, soil, Bronies, and DJ Baby Bok Choy.

    1. Bankrupt, but website still up.

The Grand Texas sports and entertainment district sits on approximately 620 acres located at the intersection of Interstate 69 and State Highway 242, about 30 miles north of Houston and nine miles east of The Woodlands, Texas. Houston’s newest beltway, the Grand Parkway, joins I-69 just four miles to the south, and Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport lies just 15 miles to the south.
When development is complete, Grand Texas’s north side will comprise a theme park, water park, sportsplex, and event center, surrounding and connected by a promenade offering retail shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. The district’s south side will comprise a luxury RV park, a speedway, hotels, and dining.
Development of Grand Texas has a single, unifying aim: to provide an up-scale, diverse, and exciting destination for the entire family.

I'm following from afar, but this thread is hilarious. Yall are my go-to for updates such as:

I tried to google this Monty Galland fellow, and I cannot even find a bio for him. The more I think about it, the more I'm reminded of the monorail guy from the Simpsons.

I dont think the one in Texas City is a water park. It is called Adventure Pointe. I think it'll end up more like a Moody Gardens type thing though, and not necessarily a theme park. Some smaller rides and education stuff.

When I went down to Texas City, I saw they had cleared the land for it. It didn't look at that big, but maybe they'll surprise everyone.

Is it going behind the outlet? I live just a few exits before it. haven't noticed any land being cleared, but I remember hearing they were putting a roller coaster or something there.

More like beside it. If you're going south bound on 45, it is past the Buccees, on the south bound side. They have a sign up.

    Who *is* Monty Gallard?

Do you really trust this man to build YOUR Adventure Park?
