So I am doing an internship at a manufacturing company, and have convinced them to let me cut out a Texans sign out of Stainless Steel. My restriction is 48" x 30". I want some ideas of what I should make. The idea is to have this sheet about three inches in front of another metal sheet and put blue&red lights in between them. This is what I have drawn up so far, but I want ideas! This is a once is a lifetime chance for me to get something custom cut out. Trying to trace the Houston Texans font in Solidworks was an absolute pain, I am still debating if I should even use the Texans font or not.
Get rid of the football helmet. Looks lame/boring and takes up too much space. Make sure you put "2011" on there. Or you could be ballsy and put "2011-12". I'd put the cow head in the middle, and put 4 offensive players on the left (AJ, Schaub, Foster, Daniels), and 4 defensive players on the right. (Watt, Joseph, Cushing, Smith) Or you could put 3 and 3 instead and make the bullhead bigger.
more suggestions people! Anyone have an idea of what to do with the Houston Texans Text? I can't get a font that I like. Does anyone know the font the Texans use or one similar?
Same here. Putting all those player's names and numbers make it looks cluttered. I would just do the logo and maybe the team name.
I would create something that will be relevant for years to come, so I'd get rid of any player names. I also wouldn't include "AFC South Division Champions." I just don't see that as an accomplishment worthy of being put on a sign like this. I'd say just go with something like "Houston Texans" and the logo in there. Houston (logo) Texans
Edit: K LoLo, JosephNicks & Harrisment beat me to it. Kinda plain and boring and simple, but yeah I'd just do the logo and the team name.
also, if its possiblr try th elogo with the outline.. it would basically be what you have cutout inverted, im sure it could be done..
Wasted space or not, I think that looks way better than what you had before. Just think of flags you see with the Texans logo. Those have wasted space, but look good. I'd also like to see what it looks like with the logo in the middle.
Darn, late again, ha. That or Houston on top, logo in the middle, Texans on the bottom. Do whatever you want. Good luck.
Yeah, less does appear to be more. Keep it simple and clean. It's a nice idea to list individual players and/or titles, etc. But honestly, all it does is clutter it up and date the project. If you keep it to the logo and font, it will look great for generations.
Andre Watt Foster are always going to be considered ALL TIME Texans Great!. Johnson will be first HOF. Watt and Foster could very well get there. If anything I think having them would be a good idea. It's not easy to find greats like Foster,AJ, Watt. Suggestions?
