We were getting blown out by 20+ points and all he kept talking about was Offense, no Defensive adjustments.-Tracy McGrady on his time with Mike D'Antoni in NY.

I would like to know the score, quarter, time and shooting%s of the two teams in this situation. Perhaps TMac is right and D needed to be adjusted, but you can be a great defensive team and still get blown out because you can't score.

TMac was a great player, but never a legend for us.

I'm sure being a smart guy, Mike recognized that if the adjustment involved Tracy playing defense, it was an exercise in futility.

So now that is two people straight up saying D'Antoni is kind of short-sighted.

    T-Mac and Jalen Rose.
Here comes the 125ppg, -15 point differential season!

T-Mac was average at best in his time as a Knick.

    The defensive guru speaks up!

Kinda stupid, anyway. If you lose 110-90, then he has a point. If it's 90-70, your defense is just fine and you might need to score a little more.

I hope this isn't a sign that MDA is an offensive minded coach.

Tracy is just h8ing, trying to hurt Mike.

I'm sure Mike didn't have a defensive coordinator at the time. We got J.B. running the defense now. D'Antoni [& his defense] is gonna be fine.

    You are very bi-polar.

I'm starting to sour on T-Mac a lot. I wish he could just keep his mouth shut. I feel like he doesn't add anything and is just another redundant former all-star player trying to stay relevant. I can forgive Jalen Rose because at least he has some funny things to stay, and he's not completely terrible. McGrady is just a bore.

D'Antoni will probably run James Harden into the ground in his last ditch attempt to validate his offensive system and ego as a coach.

Similar to how Van Gundy ran Tracy McGrady into the ground. Sad to be honest at the moment.
