Terrance Jones is just as good as Anthony Davis it's about who they want to hype on that Kentucky team... This is not like Patterson and Cousins. Rockets just gotta give Terrance Jones consistent minutes over a 15-20 game period. Rockets seem to attempt to humble every rookie they get unless it's Yao Ming type (like #1 draft pick) for marketing and hype reasons.

Would be a better indication of what he could do if these points were all within an offense. From what I saw it was mostly Terrence looking for his own and mostly from the 3. I wonder what the coaches want him to focus on with the Vipers. I know he's more of a face up player but it may be worth to try to develop a post game if he expects to be used at the 4. Expanding that area would make him more dangerous as a player.

If there's one thing to be happy about, it's that D-Mo and Jones' performances in the d-league far surpasses what Greg Smith and Morris has been putting up last season in the RGV, at least during their short stint.

Greg Smith turns out to be a pretty decent backup, and Morris is our best scorer off the bench.

I really believe if Jones was put in the starting line up and given 35 minutes, he would average 13-15 points and 8-10 rebounds a game.

There is no way to know how he will turn out, but he is not a tweener and has more athletic ability than people think. Truth be told, I like him more than D-MO and Morris.

Not sure the Rockets want a real post player at the 4, but would rather a Shawn Marion type.

I have little doubt that D-Mo will turn out the best of the bunch, but small sample size, much? Two games for D-Mo, one for Jones.

Marcus Morris put up 33 15 5 in his first D-League game and his average is skewed because he sprained his ankle one minute into what turned out to be his last game. If you factor that in, his PPG average goes all the way up from 20.7 to 22.8 and his RPG average from 8.3 to 9.1.

Greg Smith was no D-League slouch either. I'm too lazy to look it up, but he shot like 70%.

Did you watch the OKC game? Jones looked as lost as I've seen any player look in quite some time.

that is terrrible. and the previous d-league game he played like crap as well...

i really have no idea what the coaching staff and front office see in him. the PG we just waived off the roster this summer (e'twaun moore) is clearly a superior player who's been producing for orlando every game so far

Yes, I saw the Thunder game but he only played 2 minutes and do not remember him being overly lost but he barely saw the floor.

He only played two minutes because he was completely lost.

Or Shaun Livingston for that matter. I thought this season was about cap space and developing rookies, except for the 800 lb gorilla contract we offered to JBeard.

Vipers getting their asses handed to them tonight. So far Jones has 15pts, 18rbds, with 7-18 FG's.

i thought we were done with the Jones "lesser Howard", Lamb "next T-Mac", Royce "Magic's potential" and Donatas "between Dirk and Sabonis" stuff?
