The opposite. This would be our 4th if it were to happen. July 12 is the date to watch.

This isn't insider information by the way.

Butler has to be before June 30. In my view The only way we trade Capela for Horford (in my opinion) is if we have Butler in tow. This is based on a one year window to go for it now.

July 12 is the date that all or most of our NG Contracts are tradeable (most notably, Davis). It's just the date where we can match the most money.

#Rockets “management has discussed a system that involves less isolation basketball & more ball movement heading into next season.” A MUST READ from @KellyIkoNBA: Inside the struggles of chasing a championship and the strain on Houston’s backcourt dynamic https://theathletic.com/1032166/201...and-the-strain-on-houstons-backcourt-dynamic/

just saw this on twitter thought it was interesting when we're all complaining about the same $hit - ball movement, less iso. didnt know what other thread to put this in.

This would be worth a new thread. Good info.

Interesting. Not sure how easy that'll be to implement, but interesting, nonetheless.

    1. Al Horford (player option) | Age: 33

Horford has become the ideal modern NBA center. He can step out and hit 3-pointers, but can also go get a bucket on the block. He remains an elite defender, both individually and within a team scheme. He can also slide down a position and play bigger power forwards. Horford projects to age well over the next few years, provided a team keeps him on a similar maintenance plan to the one Boston has used. Horford opted out Tuesday, but both sides reportedly want to work out a long-term deal.

    Fits with: Celtics, Rockets, Warriors

Bobby Marks seems to be implying that he thinks Horford would sign a 3/60 to 3/70 deal. That would indicate he thinks he's worth 3/60 to 3/75 on the open market........ I don't know about that. T'will be interesting to see what he gets.

I think Horford would be great against GSW but awful against Lakers. While Capela is awful against GSW but would be pretty good against Lakers. We'll need size against AD + Lebron. Given GSW's injuries, we should keep Capela.

So, is he going to sign for the MLE or the vet minimum with Golden State?

Fwiw (nothing) 60x3 is what i predicted he could get after opting out, seem just a fair contract for an elite two way role player at this point, especially considering the cap is going to raise again going forward.
