Houston, we have a problem: You’re ugly. This is the United States’ fourth largest city when it comes to population, but the attraction sure isn’t scenery. There are many other ugly American cities (let’s face it — American metropolises aren’t exactly beauties: Atlanta, Cleveland…), but this one should win the title of ugliest of them all, with a large impoverished and homeless population (close to one in five families live below the poverty line) and a cityscape with no formal zoning regulations.

Eh, whatever. I don't find their argument very compelling.

I stopped reading at "Houston, we have a problem."

Really? People are still using that cliche? And thinking it's clever?

how is it we get ranked for Top 10 skylines in the world? Our beauty isn't natural beauty. It's man made wonder.

Lol this is funny. By no means is Houston the prettiest, but it is FAR from the ugliest. What a idiotic article and ignorant writer. St. Louis, Cleveland, and Dallas should definitely be on that last ahead of Houston.

run toward downtown on the buffalo bayou path at sunset. bike at terry hershey from the beltway to highway 6 and back. the tree-lined path, lake, and japanese botanical gardens at hermann park. soak in the greenery and amazing skyline view at sam houston historical park.

there are many ugly parts of town, but if you seek it out, houston actually has a lot to offer as far as parks and scenic paths. just my opinion of course...but after exploring the city more the past few months i have a renewed love for it.

I loved my time in Houston. Pretty it is not. But there are obviously much uglier places. Seems like the person who made this list has never really traveled to the former Eastern bloc.
