I'll probably be going to some practices this year to check out how the QBs are looking. I vividly remember that TDECU inauguration debacle....if they come out and thrash UTSA I'll feel fine.
Rumor has it that Duke Catalon is quitting. Any of y'all know anything about this? He's a good rb. I hope it's nothing serious.
We didn't think our 2015 team was a run-the-table team either, but expectations change during the course of the season. I'm cautiously optimistic with this team, though I think the lack of depth and talent in our secondary is gonna hold us back.
Really miss having guys like Farrow and Battle creating craters beyond the line of scrimmage. I used to think touchdowns were automatic from 5 yards out. Applewhite needs to fix.
Johnny Jefferson is looking to resurrect his football career and has UH along with UTSA as transfer spots. I hope UH takes a chance with him. He was an absolute beast in his sophomore season while putting up record numbers in his last game at Baylor (bowl game against UNC). He became addicted to some heavy stuff (Opiods I've heard) but has gotten his life together and has been clean for a while.
Good for him. I could also seem teams plugging him in at punt returner or as a scat back if he wanted to try it out. Hope he makes it somehow as he deserves it.
GW could have a lot of utility on a team. Emergency/3rd QB. PK returner. Slot receiver. He's a value get. Someone will snag him in the later rounds and be very happy they did.
