They were pathetic after the first quarter today. There's no other way to describe it. This Houston team was the most inconsistent group I think I have ever seen, no hyperbole, absolutely an impossible team to handicap.

Major did nothing today to change my opinion that he was a bad hire, and the entire team looked completely uninspired and incapable of adjustments after the first quarter. They were BADLY out coached. While admittedly short handed in that area, the lack of adjustments on the offensive side were particularly alarming. I'm not shocked that they lost because, lets face it, they have lost to worse teams than San Diego State, but the lack of heart and intensity was really disheartening, particularly from the offensive line. This team just doesn't have as much heart as I thought they did. I think the coaching debacle just ripped whatever "give a ****" they previously might have had right out of them.

I think it will be obvious rather quickly that Applewhite was riding Herman's coattails.

Funny thing is that Orlando apparently told the students earlier in the week that he was leaving.

So when Tom said that on Wednesday he was being dishonest again.

I hope **** like this is spread so that when he's recruiting htown these parents know that Tom's word isn't worth much.

I'm hopeful that the stability can now translate into consistency with our players. We were good enough to beat Oklahoma and Louisville but lose to SMU and Memphis.

Unfortunately consistency is going to be difficult in a G5. Whether it's a coach leaving or lack of depth caused by injuries, there will be wins vs. Oklahoma and losses vs. SMU.

I'm not sure what the point of announcing commitments/decommitments is.

Ehh the two decommits are not players that Applewhite is big on. Herman liked them, they may end up in Austin.

UH tried that experiment - his name was Clyde Drexler and he sucked.
