This does make sense, and is a practice many great companies use.

Knowing Morey the guys he's promoting were probably undervalued to begin with. Glad to know there's a succession plan!

Shout outs to Shinji Mikami. Hopefully he can resurrect the survival horror genre of gaming.

Morey used advanced analytics to make this decision.

He probably had a list of people he felt were ready to step into various roles when others left.

    Common practice.

Analysis gets a lot easier when you have Howard and Harden.

The analysis was in creating the opportunity to have H2!

Bima can only leave under one condition: he will still able to post CF on a regular bases.

Morey's list is probably ranked in order of his employees' skill level in chess + ping pong.

Just like OBP + SLG in OPS, we have an idea that chess acumen is more important than ping pong. We just don't how much more important.

In all seriousness though, the only skill that I fear we may find difficult to replace is Karnisovas' connections when it came to international scouting. You can't just hire somebody who can evaluate talent well on tape. You gotta also have a veteran of the FIBA circuit, someone that all the other scouts will freely divulge information with, someone who can get the scoop on underexposed players before other teams do.
