Can't believe Steve Harvey introduced him as "Carlos Carrera" even after the win and all the publicity...

I still can't believe I was at Game 5. It was such and emotionally draining yet awesome experience that I feel like I'm still recovering from. I honestly couldn't care less what the Texans and Rockets are doing right now. I'm so worn out after the Series that I need a sports break.

That was the greatest game I've ever been to, and I went to game 7 in L.A. as well.

I think everybody pretty much feels this way. I think this postseason kind of ruined sports for me in the short term.

The postseason was so compelling, so tightly contested, so high stakes and preposterously intense. It's like we just witnessed sports at it's absolute pinnacle. The Rockets playing the Hawks in November without Chris Paul just seems so inconsequential.

I love the Rockets every bit as much as I love the Astros, I will round back into Rockets basketball mode. But right now it's just hard to care very much.

It's the opposite for me. I was so ready for the postseason to end, win or lose. I'm not used to my favorite teams making it as far as the Astros. Every day I felt nervous or anxious until the next game. Now it's easy, it's much more relaxing watching the Rockets or Texans knowing it's not do or die.

So Fangraphs is polling the different fanbases to rate their 2017 experience. Astros fans overwhelming had a vary good experience, but 5.73% had a very bad experience. Is this indicative of the number of trolls or indicative of a small group of trolls trolling a lot?

The end result was certainly positive.

The actual postseason was about as fun as a root canal. I honestly felt emotionally violated by the whole thing.

It still feels like a dream kind of even though I know it's not. My brain is full of highlights that keep replaying over and over and over in my mind.

First time posting in this thread (thanks Harvey).

I still can't believe this is real. I've been following Houston sports since the late 70's and experienced all the well-documented low points (Renfro non-catch, NC State, 1980 Astros, 1986 Astros, Oilers/Bills, 1986 Rockets, 1993 Rockets, etc. etc. etc.).

I never thought I would love a team as much as the Luv Ya Blue Oilers until the Clutch City Rockets came along. And I never thought I would love a team as much as them....until this Astro team.

Guys, I cried like a little girl after that final out. Seriously. No hyperbole.

That makes two of us, though all I could think about was my best friend who passed away from cancer two years ago and how we would've been jumping up and down like little girls when the final out happened.

I have all his sports memorabilia on a shelf in my game room. I bought a World Series ball and placed it next to the Hall of Fame ball I got from Cooperstown over the summer (a trip we were supposed to make before he got too ill).

99% of the people who use the term "Moneyball" with regards to sports have never read the book and have no ****ing clue what they are talking about.
