Yeah, I mean.... who could've predicted they'd get all this attention by winning one measly little Word Series.........
Looking back, still amazed at the wins in Game 2 and Game 5. Those are usually Houston heartbreakers. The Astros went 11-7 to win it all and most of the games were edge-of-your-seat classics. I hope there is a DVD box set type thing to buy of this post-season.
Started the postseason 5-1, then went 6-6 in the final 12 playoff games but that was good enough to win the WS.
Ken Burns "Baseball 1st Inning" is on the MLB Network right now (just starting). I know it's been mentioned numerous times, but what made this Astros WS run so special was doing it against three of the most historic teams in baseball (the Red Sox, the Yankees, and the Dodgers). Still can't believe they did it. To quote Gene Peterson, "HOW SWEET IT IS"!!!!!
That's weird. After game 7, clicking on the link showed more details as to what was on the discs. The info then showed that unedited versions of each game was included. I seem to remember it had various audio with each game. Why would someone like a well edited, well put together video with a beautifully fitting song for the simple reason it would make you shed a tear? Stupid allergies....
