HoF snubs Owens, will not mention him in ceremony

I imagine everyone is aware of the backstory. Owens finally gets selected to HoF. Decides not to attend. Now the HoF is deciding to not mention him at all during the ceremony.


I didn't look, but imagine there are already threads on Owen skipping the ceremony, so I won't add that as a question (but do feel free to share your thoughts on that, as they are probably relevant to the question here).


Should the HoF have done this? Is this just spite to get back at Owen's for snubbing them, or, as they claim, simply focusing on those who are there? Should the HoF have taken the high road here?
