There's nothing at all to suggest that the author is more than the everyday sportswriter that's never seen Ming play and is going on rumors. We've already read a few hundred editorials from those types...nothing that important.
What exactly is a troll? (English is not my native language). I see it used a lot here, mostly in derogatory context...
troll, used in this context, means to try to get attention, i.e. spammer. It is a fishing term, I believe, where a fisherman is just trying to get the attention of fish and get them to bite. When someone says that a poster here is "trolling" they are trying to get interest in something. Usually, they are spamming something. Otherwise, a troll is a mytholigcal creature. Small, lives in the forest. Eats billy-goats (3 billy-goats gruff).
A "troll" can also be banned by just being an annoying turd who won't go away, when nicely asked by Clutch.
Gettinbranded:- There' only one polite and fair respose that I can make GET BACK TO CHICAGO AND STAY THERE!!!!!! Your knoweledge about our team is lacking!
"Troll" is an internet word now. --send intentionally erroneous message to BBS in order to lure others to correct him.
You know, I kinda get the impression that Ming has too much basketball IQ to become a bust. I think, at worst, his brains will put his height to use, and he will become decent. At best, he will use his athleticism and range, while adding bulk, to become a top 5 C in the league.
First in response to gettinbranded's signature, no I don't think Ming will bring the Rockets a ring, but I think that Ming, Griffin, Francis and Mobley will bring them one! I don't think gb was being sarcastic, I think he was just quoting some news hack who called Ming a perimeter player without seeing him, and who praised the "great" Eddie Curry.
Or if they say something stupid like "we'll wish Steve Francis had been locked into a restricted contract b/c he'll bolt for Washington if we don't." Right gettinbranded?
i used to be a troll, but i was reborn. I still think yao will be be a lot better than what most people think.
wouldn't that be true for EVERY single college or high school player that entered the draft. i always hear this as a negative but it's impossible to draft someone who is playing in the NBA. with international competition i think it's very likely that ming has faced tougher opponents than his rookie peers.
