I would love to know how you would capture the scent of Donald Trump in a romantic candle. Maybe old McDonalds wrappers and flop sweat?

1.These tweets do not contradict each other.

2.Trump deserves credit for helping broker a detente on the Korean peninsula. We have seen more thawing of relations between the two Koreas under Trump than we have at any other point since the cessation of hostilities.

trump's main objective was/is the denuclearization of north korea. That does not appear to be what is happening, despite trump's public statements.

And while reduced aggression between North and South Korea is a positive outcome, and whatever trump said or did that helped towards that is a positive, the main objective wasn't met so far, and South Korea's accommodations to north korea without the main accommodation (denuke) is definitely a negative. Further, if the improving relations between the two koreas with less and less U.S. involvement potentially risks U.S - South Korea's relationship. As just like nk past promises to the U.S., nk has a history of breaking promises to South Korea.

Yes, the North-South Korean conflict is a weighty issue. The "main objective" won't be solved easily or quickly. That doesn't mean what we haven't seen hasn't been a great thing. People, like you, want to slight Trump at every opportunity but his role in the thawing of relations between the two Koreas can only be seen as a positive. If a Democratic President had overseen this detente it would be a magnificent achievement, you wouldn't be look at any angle to slight what has occured. "Yea, but NK hasn't totally capitulated and totally denuclerized within two years therefore Trump deserves no credit" - Yea, that isn't a realistic expectation. The thawing of relations has been wonderful though especially compared to where we were under previous administrations.

    Please re-read what I wrote:

But the main objective is the main objective. And it hasn't been accomplished yet. And trump (as usual) lies and hurts what "positives" he does accomplish. trump immediately claimed:

    Later, he re-spun the claim:
trump would go a long way to deserving more credit for lots of things if he simply stopped lying.

What am I suppose to take away from this post exactly?

I think everyone recognizes that Trump is too loose with his words and uses too much hyperbole. You, and others, choose to hang on every loose word because it suits your agenda.

That doesn't take away from the big picture, which is, that he has overseen a detente on the Korean peninsula that is highly encouraging and a really reason for optimism. No other administration has achieved anything like it.

Only a fool would think the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula would be a quick or easy thing. The ending of the Korean War and the denuclearization of the North would be the greatest international relations accomplishment of the 21st century. It would be one of the greatest things any of us have ever seen in regards to foreign affairs.

I know pretty much everyone tries to slight Trump at every single opportunity but truly, what he has done with regards to the Korean peninsula has been great and your only B8tch is, "yea but Kim Jong Un hasn't thrown down his arms and begged for mercy yet" - I mean, good grief. Just be happy for the progress we've seen.

"too loose with words" and "hyperbole"? The word you were looking for is "lie". Not holding trump accountable for outright lying to the American publibc only enables and emboldens him to continue lying.

Again, I stated the improved relations in the region were a positive. And speaking of hyperbole, translating "nk is no closer to denuclearization now than they were before, despite trump's claims to the contrary" to "yea, but Kim Jong Un hasn't thrown down his arms and begged for mercy yet".

What Donald Trump has done, is give legitimacy to the government in North Korea. That is not a good thing, and it goes against the policy of every President for 60 years. North Korean leadership was on very precarious footing before Donald Trump decided to get involved.

    That isn't a "win" or a "positive".
