Steve Kyler (aka Fake News ) says both will re-sign "quickly". http://nba.nbcsports.com/2017/01/27...to-re-sign-quickly-with-clippers-this-summer/ Sources close to Griffin said recently that he is not remotely interested in changing teams and they expect the deal process to go very smoothly and quickly this summer. http://nba.nbcsports.com/2017/02/21...ady-verbally-agreed-to-re-sign-with-clippers/ He’ll opt out of his final $24.26 million and ink a new deal with the Clippers for north of $200 million. While Knicks fan often dream of a Carmelo Anthony-Paul tandem, it’s not going to happen. Sources close to the process said that it’s already been verbally agreed to and it’s simply a function of the calendar and the new Collective Bargaining Agreement kicking in. __________________________________ Hey, if they want to keep , so be it.
The Clippers have no BENCH. Austin Rivers doesn't scare anyone. Why is Paul Pierce on that team? Just retire and give that spot to a legit shooter. They need a revamp their bench. Get a starting 3 as well. Should of done the deal for Melo. As presently constructed, we would probably sweep them.
I would be scared of them . . . . . if they made one move this off season. If they made Sam Cassell head coach and made Doc stay in the Exec Offices I think they would instantly improve Rocket River
from 2012 to 2015, we struggled against them, so I feel like they've definitely fallen off. i do think that playoff series against them messed with their heads. really broke cp3's morale a bit.
They should be playing Moreyball. They have good three point shooters, but they don't shoot enough threes. Fire Doc and get a coach to run the Moreyball/D'Antoni system and watch that team take off.
What do you mean "Replace"? The Rockets have had more success than the Clippers in the Chris Paul era.
Paul was the engine that kept that machine humming but now that is on decline street they are not the same.
I hope we haven't replaced them, but far exceed them. The Clippers were suppose to be a "Super Team", but since Lob City was created they have been Super Disappointing.
I think the Rox do not want to replace a team that was a pretender.... a dangerous pretender but almost never made the WCF Finals.
They're not and havent been the best team in the west but were always top 3-4. Now, with injuries mounting and a very shallow bench they are slipping. They held onto their core for a little too long. Griffin is already losing a little bit of his athleticism. I dont see the core leaving via FA either, especially not if Paul stays. It seems those guys love being in LA and being marketed the way they are. Paul getting 200M basically seals their fate. It only gets interesting if Blake feels the draw of playing at home in OKC with Westbrook. But, no they will consistently be a 2nd round and out team as constructed.
Lmao remember when the picked up priggs smoove and lance and starting saying their practices were "like an all star game" "bench swuuaaaad"
