Just got back from Austin where Travis won state. We went to IHOP on I-35 afterwards and the team, cheerleaders and a few others showed up about 20 mins later. I got some very good photos of the twins & their father and will post one or two tomorrow if I can figure out how.

The game itself was garbage. Both teams were just terrible. I have no idea how the other team made it to the final.

Keep in mind it is high school basketball, maybe. The play is not as fluid or smooth.

I've watched a lot of HS basketball, particularly Travis with the twins . I know what's good and bad at that level. That was the 5A championship game. For the entire 1st half, both teams were bundles of nerves. In the 2nd half, it wasn't nerves, they were just bad. Far and away the worst I've seen Travis play. I joked with my son Elkins would have beaten Travis yesterday.

I would expect that in the 1st half. Elkins is pretty bad, I'll take your word for that. Maybe it was good defence? All teams have bad games though (just look at the Rockets last night). On a side note, I've been to that IHOP many times. It's so good.

Forgot to mention, but South Grand Prairie was ranked 1st in Texas, so realistically speaking, it's not surprising that they made it. I was always questioning why Travis was only number 5 because of the Harrison twins.

I suggest you watch the game on replay and you'll see what I'm talking about. Others I've talked to who saw the game completely agree with the point.

Travis didn't impressed me all year. They have much less talent than last year and I definitely didn't expect them to make the final again. There was a reason Bush beat them twice.

Bush matches up really well to them.

In hindsight, it was pretty ugly. You are right, 38 pts is garbage for a state finals.

In the semi's South Grand Prairie was pretty impressive. Point Guard was really good, the kid going to TCU was impressive, but the main reason they made it to where they were was everyone on the team defended. Did not stay for Saturday night to watch the 5A final, but the team from GP was a damn good basketball team and certainly deserved to be in the final. It's high school kids man, they aren't going to be as consistent as college or pro players

No i believe it read "future basketball royalty". Both bros had the shirt. I was at the game too and they were shown on the big board. Don't like that type of self promotion.

Interesting. I really don't like the guy, but I can see where you could make that connection

Great move by the twins I feel like they need another year in college.
