I'm stunned to find this out today. If Harrison Ford isn't oscar-worthy, they need to re-evaluate the award.

He has done a great job in a lot of great movies, but I think that The Mosquito Coast and Regarding Henry are really the only nomination-worthy roles of his career

He did play two of the best roles ever with Indy and Han Solo

A shame the only time he was nominated was for Witness. If the Academy wasn't stuck up their asses he should have at least been nominated for Star Wars, Indy, Blade Runner and Fugitive too. Those are some iconic roles right there.

He plays himself, and usually stars in tent pole movies. Guy movies resonate very strongly with guys. There ya go.

Almost every actor plays themselves, there are very few true character actors these days.

I love the guy and yet...

When he's good he's good but if you watch "42" and "Random Hearts" and "K19 the Widowmaker" you'll see he really isn't a great actor.

    Iconic, yes.

Kinda like John Wayne. Every so often a director coaxed a good performance out of him, or he simply lent himself more to the role.

You only get nominated for movies people have never heard of. Harrison does movies the people love so the oscar snobs will never give him the credit he deserves.

Since he went partial r****d in Regarding Henry I thought he would have gotten a nod for that.

Because he's never acted like he gave a #### in any film he's ever made except Witness and Mosquito Coast.

Daniel Day Lewis is the only actor who doesn't play himself. Well..you can throw in Tom Hardy too.

I love Blade Runner, love, love, love it, but compare Ford's performance to any other actor in that film.
