Hmm, not sure that has to do with Harden, seems like his teammates just also have things to work on. Their poor play doesn't negate his.
I think it would be a hard fought out 1st and 2nd round paired with injuries. Ego is gone most likely whenever he is eligible for a trade.
Except Westbrook takes midrange shots and does post-ups. Harden is absolutely able to do these, and do them efficiently. He doesn't, and it sucks that he and MDA are not being accountable to one another on Plan B options for himself, especially when WB is gone.
I think it is a smart plan by the FO, to let Harden save energy for the playoffs, rest WB for the playoffs, the record just gets worse. Still playing 40 minutes, without energy.
When you come on clutchfans, you wonder why this would even be a thread? He is in a funk, but he does not suck lol Watch him drop 50 tonight and this thread gets buried fast. smh....
A little. Defenses sag off those players Defenses clog passing lanes and of course if they cannot hit shots .. his assist numbers won't be there Rocket River
People only say it's predictable because he slows our offensive possessions down a bit. But as most of the players in the league will tell you, he can't be that predictable if he's been the top scorer and been top 10 in assists in the past few years or so. Also, a player who is predictable wouldn't get all that double teaming and attention he does when he drives to the paint. I just think people asking him to shoot more mid-range shots, post fades shots, drive more to the paint.... don't understand he doesn't get the space and time he used to. If he were getting guarded like he was back in 2016 or so, then I'd agree with wanting to do all those things. But the other teams solely focuses on just stopping Harden for the most part.
0 FTs for the starters last night, 99% no team with that stats will win any games. Harden looks tired sometimes it has to do with the players around him. I couldn't believe Harden was only +/- 9, the other starters were +/- were -11, -22, -23, -25. If Harden looks tired on defense, put him on the worst player on offense. I blame on Dumbtoni (funniest name I've seen here) for letting it fester. I don't blame him, he is a lame-duck coach.
What’s really strange about his numbers since January 1 is the month of February. 12 games in January he shot 35/27/87 scoring 29 points per game. Pretty bad shooting. 11 games in February he shot 46/37/87 scoring 32 points per game. Really, really good shooting. 3 games in March he shot 33/16/88 scoring 27 points per game. Terrible, terrible shooting. What made February so good?
People are just overreacting. Look at those stats. He's still averaging over 20 points a game without free throws.... and that's with Westbrook having more of the ball. He's still been averaging over 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1 blocks per game. His turnovers are the lowest it's ever been. His FG % is only that low because of his 3pt shooting. The only difference we're seeing is that he's shooting worse and more inconsistently from the 3pt line in the past 2 months. If any other player in the league had those type of stats, they'd be getting praised.
His February is very underrated. People gotta stop lumping It with his awful January. He was looking like himself again until the second half of Boston.
Basically . .. what you are saying is. . . .if defenses are allowed to hack, grab and foul him . .. he is unplayable Hate to break it to you . . but If I am allowed to hack with impunity . . there is not a player in the world I could not hold somewhat Rocket River
