Harden passes Kobe

    Harden passes 2006 Kobe and 1967 Barry to check in at #7 on the all time single season points per game list at 35.67 PPG

    Only 1987 Jordan remains ahead of Harden in PPG since the merger. The other five seasons ahead of Harden are all Chamberlain.

    Yup. But I am not betting against Harden averaging 36 a game the rest of the way.

    By passing Kobe the only remaining comparison the media can make is Harden vs Jordan. And Harden has passed every Jordan season except one.

    Also nice that he passed Kobe against the Lakers!!!

    Truly amazing.

    There’s a reasonable chance his PPG dips going forward, as CP3 returns and he starts to pace himself more. I’m wondering how many players have averaged more PPG in a 20 game stretch, though.

    I expect his assists per game go down... but he may have better shot selection when CP3 returns.

    Didn't Elgin Baylor average like 38 one season? So I think it's him, MJ, and Wilt that are ahead of Harden right now
